The different between T2 and T3 was shruggable. Until that video. I'm getting the demo right now.

EDIT: I started listing the differences, and then crashed my browser on mistake... so I'm not re-typing all of that... sorry. Not tonight anyways.

ANYWAYS...

Sucks until the teleport combo at the end.

Teleport knocked 5-6 times, and then grabbed by the face and rushed into the ground? GG.

If that's true, oh well.

I can only go through the DBZ storyline 50-60 times in a lifetime.

Good God...that vid was full of awesome. And that medley of all the DB/Z themes in the background, I've GOT to know where he got that. This is gonna be the best corporate-made DBZ game to date, easily!

The Wii version will have an online multiplayer mode. Discuss.

Also, might i add. The third installment looks better and more true to the show. For example, in story mode, when i was fighting Nappa with Goku, you can hear Gohan and Krillin talking about the fight, and Vegeta about his power level. The coolest thing is by hitting the R3 "tag" button you start a sequence thats also goes along with the show. For example, once you do some damage to Vegeta, pressing R3 starts the garrick ho vs kamehameha power struggle sequence. My only complaint? My wife hogs the TV all the time :_(

They should have made it the same way for the PS2 is all I can say.

They also should include Tag Matches online and whatnot, and mutiplayer Team Tag Matches.

Also the transformations are a little better, they pause a bit while you witness the expression on their face. Some of snazzy effects like a white line running across the background.

While these forums have been down i've been hovering around the GameFAQ's boards for info.

I hear it's down to somewhere between 20-24 fights now. Each movie has one fight, the last fight. There is no Piccolo vs. Sauza, Krillin vs. Zangya etc. Every fight that wasn't considered 'ultimately major' from DB/Z/GT (e.g. Krillin + Gohan vs. Guldo, Vegeta vs. Zarbon, Goku vs. #19) has been removed. Half the remaining fights are survivals, after a couple of minutes you press R3 and watch a short cut-scene, then the match auto-completes and the saga ends.

I really don't understand this. They have the characters and the levels, it shouldn't be hard to implement them into story-mode. The stupidest example I heard was that the DB storymode ends at Kid Goku + Arale vs. General Blue. They added Evil King Piccolo, Early Piccolo and Early Goku as 'new' characters, the King's Castle as a stage, yet chose to omit the second half of DB from story-mode. GT is similarly lacking with no Nuova Shenron fight and an automated Omega Shenron comprising the whole of the 'Shadow Dragon's Saga'.

People who imported the Japanese version on those forums say there's almost 1gb of space left over on the game disc (4.7gb), so it wouldn't have been a stretch to implement a few more cut-scenes (that use the in-game models anyway) to give us a true story-mode. If Spike's laziness was ever in question, the answer lies here.

If it weren't for the new characters (the good additions, not the sucky additions) and the new gameplay features, I wouldn't even bother with it. I'll definately wait until it becomes bargain-bin fodder because frankly it sounds unfinished.

Probably had time line constraints. Either that or they didn't want people to play through the 600 hour storyline again. It's a summary of the anime, you gotta admit though, they made it semi interactive which is cool, i also wasn't looking forward to playing every single fight in the dbz universe again. Although there are some people who haven't played the previous installments, i guess you can't please em' all though.

Not to mention that story fights can be created and played with Duel mode alone.

Also, do you know anything about this "Fusion Disc"?

Fusion Disc = Pick it in the menu, swap the BT3 disc with a BT1 or BT2 disc, it loads, then you put the BT3 disc back in and the 'Fusion Disc' option has been replaced by the 'Ultimate Battle' mode from the previous games.

Because there's no way they could've added that by default or anything, I hear the Wii gets it anyway as well as online.

I've got to say, i'm really dissapointed with how this one turned out. I don't agree with half the character roster (from a gameplay/attacks/transformation point-of-view), and most of the characters I expected to make the cut didn't. Breaking Goku down into three character slots and Piccolo to two should not have counted towards the 'new characters' they added. The storyline length is ridiculous. Even if we've played through the DBZ storyline infinity billion times across several games, we've never recieved a true DB storyline. Even the Dragon Ball game on the GBA skips the Piccolo Jr Saga and that was 2D. Did they forget about it or something? There are still generic attacks, mainly rushes, and there's still only five per character. Many characters still play identically. The whole thing reeks of 'we-gotta-get-a-new-dbz-game-out-every-year-so-cut-corners-the-fans-will-buy-it-anyway'.

BT2 was a massive step-up from BT1. This seems more like a patch. If patches crippled story-mode.
