Does your Kazaa slow you computer down?

I want to know if anyone else is having the same problem. I heard that Kazaa has a hidden software that uses your ram for there purposes.

removed KazaA and istalled neo-modus lets see if there an improvement.

kazaa does have a secret thing in it that connects your computer a nother network without you knowing. Then it uses spare cpu cycles and system resources for there own purposes. But this new thing doesnt work yet because the network isnt up although I have heard it will be up within a matter of time

i always thought morphius (kazaa) is gay, when i dled it once, i put sumthing on for dl and all it did was froze my computer with tons of pop ups.

I would assume so because it is integrated right into kazaa. If you look at the User Agreement thing that you agree to when you install Kazaa it mentions it somwhere in there

Kazaa/Morpheus is Spyware. And it is fully functional. (Cue Emperor Palpatines music.) It reports what you DL on the program. But it also inserts it's self in you registry in a way that makes it difficult to uninstall. What's worse, is that it's on all the time. Whether you are in it or not, wether you have uninstalled the P2P part of the program. It reports where you surf, what you DL off websites and such.

Get Limewire. Annoying, yes. But they are honest, and not information theives.

Nope, dont slow my comp!! I happen to like Kazaa and have had no problems with it, so I'll keep it until I do!! Besides, a lot of progs have Spyware!!

my kazaa is actually spyware free besides for the secret p2p network i was talking about. I have figured out way to clean out al the spyware and still have the program work. I also can do it with limewire if you want to know how just hit me with a pm or something

i use adaware to remove spyware

but if u use adaware and remove the cydoor file kazaa will tell u that u have deleated a critical file and that u need to re-install. But there is an easy way around this.......

Remove Kazaa, you are supporting a group of people who wan't to make money by spamming you. They won't let you run it without the spyware easily.

You will have to remove the spyware from your system registry as well.

Limewire is fine if you have a solid connection.
