Im disappointed with modellers lately.
Every thread i ever watch and contribute too, the modeller either gives up or doesnt release the model =(
Is the flamming and spamming that bad?
If modellers dont want all the flamming and spamming , couldnt they just make the model and show us the finished results?

YOu dont know how it feels because your not a modeler. It IS pretty bad to be flamed and your work is put down, and if people hate it so much, why give it to them. Spaming is just anoying and it sucks for people IMing you, or PMing you, or Emailing you, GIMME MODEL, RELEASE NOW!, REALEASE j00!, It gets ****ing anoying. And it REALLU sucks when someone calls you a ripper and your not (nuttzy)...

Thats why these people get **** from me.

Your right, i dont understand.
But this is a dbz mod...i wouldnt expect too much because it probably has alot of young members.
(think of what esf team members have, lots of spammage, but they still continue)
I'd just submit it to redsaiyan and avoid the flamming and spamming , and so people who dont flame and spam can appreciate some good models.

people post WIPS so they can get crits so they can improve the model. if they dont and they just post the final product the modeller might think its good but the public might not. and its easier to spot things to crit when they post small updates at a time.

Well if thats the case. Couldnt esf nicely restrict a modelleing part of the forums for modellers only to see and reply to.
Or only people with a certain number of posts (200 or so) may reply.
Oh and one other thing : if your a modeller dont go giving out contact details for newbies to annoy you.

I totally agree about a seprate forum for modelers to go and show their work, people could also share ideas and stuff with other fellow modelers, and make the esf editing section perhaps a more welcome place for them :D

yeah, a post limit would be good too, me likes this idea a lot!!!

(i must remmember to get my own post count up, hehe  )

but how would you just block it off to modlers?. have a part when you sign up that says " if your a modeler click this" then the noobs that flame and spam would just make a new account and click that in and be free. and how can you tell who is a modler and who isnt? im not the best modler but i like to give good critz and i never flame peoples work. thats like going up to a 5 year old and telling him his stick pitcher of his mom and dad is crap. if you can come up with an idea on how to block them, then it sounds like a good idea.

It may be difficult to try and get all modelers coming in to contact an admin to get access to a hidden forum. Although it is an interesting idea, and you'd get crits from people who have relatively the same view on modelling as you do, you may still get modelers who don't know about the hidden section that may post somewhere like ESF Chat, and you'd basically get the same effect as you would in Models/Skins - open crits.

Well the conditions could be that they have a finished model done.
Known modellers could be added to a big list to be put into there own group.
Now the problem would be that people trying to get in would rip others work, but it should be judged if the model is ripped by fellow modellers before they are granted access.
And if they have lots of newbie questions and replies then they are newbies who will be booted out of the group =P

y'no what majin-you? that is a really good idea, then you wont get the familliar n00b say "is it released" or somthing close to that, only experianced modellers could get in (as well as mods/admins of couse :p) that way, you will all have the same point of view on things and posts critz accordingly, but the models should only be ESF related, just makes sense,

as being a modeler and i speak for all of us, place this topic plan into action, basiclly make it that same way as that other topic only mods or donators and reach, i would be very thankful and im shure many others will too ^_^

All you have to do is make a section for modeler's only. Then an ESF admin can make a hidden group called "modeler's" or something. Then you set the permission's so only the modeler group, admin's, and moderator's can view/post/edit/delete in it. Then add every known modeler to the modeler group, or make a thread having all modeler's post any bit of there work with proof they made it so the admin(s) can add them to the group. Then wamm-O you got your modeler's only section free of n00b's and raping's. Im sure the ESF admin's will know how to do this, if not I can walk you thru it. :D

This is very simple if it's approved. There are 5 hidden forums on ESF with four seperate groups of access. It's done all the time, and could be easily implemented. However, if such place is created, or the modelling section is restricted access, 100% compliance with all the ESF rules and regulations will be enforced. If you get your own section, and I look in and see flaming and bickering it will be shut down faster than you can imagine.

Unfortunately, I have no faith in the modelling section at this moment. You kids will need to proove to the administration of this board that you can go a week without a single warning or ban in your area. Lately, I've had to assign all new moderators here for crowd control. I have no intention of having two such forums.

Perhaps they could just with it. Or the staff could mention to them dos of the modeling section that they have to keep it strict so crits and comments do not get out of hand. Possibly a lengthy task but with enough persistence it can be done.

I do not mean keeping a 24 hour watch on that section, what my idea was that perhaps you could tell the mods to be a little more strict with the rules in that section.

We get new modelers who try to show us there work and they get booed out. But if mods would be a little faster giving warnigns to peopel for very harsh crits then eventually [not a week but a month or two] the people would learn and lighten up.
