Let's see. Oct 10th is right next to my birthday! I caught them last time they toured and it was a pretty badass experience. You'd have middle aged-men playing as brutally as possible in front of Metalocalypse videos. Then, in between songs, you were treated to a 2 or 3 minute scene in a cartoon that was about Dethklok playing at a concert. It was pretty crazy.

The opening act was actually booed and heckled by the crowd. Eventually the singer got sick of it, told us off for appreciating a cartoon band more than real artists, then chucked the microphone stand into the crowd. Afterword I found out Brendon Small went to a local bar for a bit, and I'm kind of bummed I never got to meet him.

I'd definitely recommend checking them out.

Isn't Mastadon touring with them?

I'd go for that show.

Houston, we have a problem.

the new dethalbum kinda...like...blows.

Don't get me wrong, the music is all great, but Brendon small changed one big thing...he changed the vocals. Nathan's voice is now higher pitched, and it sounds like all the other black metal schmucks out there now.

.........

Sucks, I waited on the album forever.

Although the one thing that I will let it slide for is it's not really bad, it's just not Nathan. and the fact that this album is what they sound like live since it's really hard for Brendan to project Nathan's voice that low.

I don't mean to brag but my best friend's guitar teacher is the bass player of Dethklok and he didn't know until his dad researched him on the internet.

http://www.myspace.com/heroicdead (not a real band don't worry I'm not advertising)

He made two songs with him in his studio, he played the bass, friend played guitar, and some other dude on drums.
