A magnum is not a weapon.

Edit

Between magnum revolvers and Desert Eagles, I believe Desert Eagles are the strongest.

uncover bunker, why don't you find out via google or wikipedia for example before asking around here?

I've found almost everything before asking.

But anyways, i think a .50 cal Desert Eagle is the most powerful.

Wouldn't know... a Deagle usually uses .50 calibre, and a magnum revolver uses .357... which is stronger? o_O

Still, a deagle has less recoil and more clip capacity by 1 bullet... I think I'd go with the deagle.

Seriously though. A 9 millimeter bullet will kill you just as much as a .357, if hit in a vital area.

Any one of these, maybe except the Duracell battery, will kill you.

Two words: stopping power. And also the fact that if you aren't hit in a vital area, it's doing lots more pain anyway.

Anyway, I always heard the deagle was a bit overblown. A bit unwieldy, with high recoil, even compared to other magnums. I'm not sure but I think the round itself doesn't travel very fast (relatively speaking).

Bigger isn't always better. Earlier assault rifles like the G3, AK-47 and M14 fired 7.62mm rounds, but in the modern countries that used them they've mostly been replaced by rifles that fire smaller rounds (5.56, 5.8). Aside from obviously having less recoil, smaller rounds can travel faster, and tend to tumble more once they hit soft targets, creating nastier wounds.

In all fairness, I don't think I would notice a difference in pain between different bullets.. But I've never been shot so what do I know? ;O

By "lots more pain" I just mean raw physical damage being done to your body.

Heck, the reason we switched from .38 to .45 ACP pistols way back when was because .38 just wasn't taking people down well enough.

I find it weird that we invent new, deadlier weapons that are better at keeping peace. :p But I shouldn't drag this off topic.. forget I said anything. I was never here.

A .357 or .50 can make a hole bigger than a 9mm, making it easier to kill a person if the shot is taken near a vital point, instead of directly at it. I heard that in a conversation from a friend of mine, knows a lot about guns.

Guns don't kill people. Irresponsible idiots and criminals kill people.

bullets don't kill, it's blood loss and the ensuing cardiac arrest that does!

Hitokiri is kind of right, however when you are looking at stopping power, you also need to look at how much energy the bullet takes away from your body on leaving, and how much of a shockwave it creates on entering. some high powered bullets can do nasty things to your bone marrow with a decent shockwave.
