First off let me start of by saying, I am never going to call Hercule Mr. Satan again.

Now that that's out of the way, I just got DBZ Boudaki(forgive my spelling if it's not right) for PS2 and it was way to short, it took me two days to beat it. They even put in the superfast hand to hand combat. Too bad it's so short.

Extras. Like winning Sayiaman, and Hercule, and getting money for all the capsules. I've already got all that. Hardly 2 days.

It's a game made for fanboys. I'm just glad that at least it was better than all the other DBZ console games (I still thinks ESF is better!) but they put in nice extras and modes, emulated the story well, OK graphics (good for the characters). It's still a very simplistic fighter for these days, and can't match up to complexity in a game like Virtua Fighter 4 or DOA3. But I mean if you love DBZ, it's better than playing Hyper Dimensions or Super Botuden on a SNES emulator or some crap. Or even Final Bout on PS1 (if you bothered to buy that horrible game, and enjoyed it, you'll definitely love this.)

The thing is, the companies never put as much effort into these damn games as they should, because they know that no matter how bad it is, they have a massive fan base that will buy it the week it comes out, regardless of any reviews a gaming site or magazine might give it.

Why not? Hercule is the Funimation-ized version of the japanese version's name for him, Mr. Satan. They changed it to Hercule because of the Satan part.

budokai rules ass. the story mode i beat in about an hour, then i found out the legend of hercule and got all the chars including saiyaman. does that mean i stopped playing? no, its still fun to play against real people and u can always change the way ur custom player is by changing capsules and stuff. every game has an ending, but u can always play past it.

True...but Dimps spet 2 years making this game, so I say the end result is rather nice.

I like trying to get every ones breakthrough capsules...w00t

sonic834 bad game?

Then you didnt win everything

like:

1.Extra Characters
2.Extra Story Chapters (Most of em are damn funny)
3.All Capsules
4.Breakthrough?
5.Legend of Hercule
6.All Budokai dificultys

Next time play the WHOLE game and then decide if its good or not.

Goodies are nice for replay value and stuff, add to a games quality. But what you have is a fighting game with a sub-par fighting system... it just can't keep up with the complexity of the one's made by Sega and Namco.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front, TONS of replay value after a relatively short story mode, and I DID play through all of it, but I have to admit that if I didn't love gundam, I'd probobly just call the game a massive waste of time. However, because the game gives a nice gundam feeling and stuff, I end up thinking the game is good as well.

Budokai gives a great DBZ feeling, probobly more than the previous games, and that's why people like it. As a DBZ simulator, its really nice, but as a video game of the fighting genre, it's just somewhere around standard.
