That is a major throwing away fans- thing.

I still think i should buy this, since i don't have episode 1 yet, and then i could sell the Hl2's Code to someone :D

Just give it time, steam will give the option to buy episode 2, or the teamfortress or just portal, if the players don't like the decisions anyways.

I guess you won't be able to do that.
Its most likely one code for the whole pack.

I would've bought the black box edition for TF2 but I'm not gonna buy HL2 again, **** you Valve

Well apparently you can still buy the black box through steam, but it's not going to be sold through a brick and mortor store anymore which is still lame.

Of course not. Valve gets more money through steam purchases.

It's nice to see that folks around here are starting to realize the differences between companies trying to make a profit and companies trying to screwjob us.

Yeah but at least when Microsoft charges me for stuff on Live, I don't feel like it's designed from inception to be a MASSIVE ripoff.

All MS requires is patience for their content to be made free, which usually only takes a couple months.

This isn't really a big deal. You need Steam to install it anyway, you need internet access to register it. You can just buy it off Steam without leaving the house.

Or if you don't want one of the three (Ep2/TF2/Portal) you can just buy them individually through Steam for less.
