damn game keeps crashin

someone plz help everytime i start my own game it starts to load the it says "done precaching resources" and then it says that the program has performed an error and will be closed by windows
plz tell me wht to do!!

Have you got the latest version of Half-Life?

Latest version is 1.1.1.0.

To check your version open up Half-Life and on the first menu you will see a number in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

i'm playing off counter strike and then using the mod

Then replace the 1.1.1.0 with a 1.0.0.5 and fallow the rest of his directions.

function ... and all will be fine
