crashes at startup

Ok, everytime i start ESF and want to go in game it sometimes crashes at parsing (at the end) and sometimes 0.01 sec in server and crash
this is what i get >

(meaning: halflifelauncher caused an error and needs to be closed. our appalogies)

i play counterstrike mostly never any problems, i tried playing halflife and it worked like a charm also DOD worked... most likely NOT a steam problem.
i tried reinstalling, didnt work. tried different video modes and disabling high quality models. I have 512 MB ram and a 128MB ram videocard (fx5200).
help is appreciated.

Try scan disking to see if it makes any difference, the only other suggestion I could offer you is to post in Steam forum for help.
