Such a good game turn bad by people who hack. I think if a person is caught hacking. and reported. they should be sent to court. *because hacking is breaking the law if i am correct* banning there ip will do nothing and they know it. Untill a company takes charge with this prob. there will always i mean always be a hacker to ruin the fun for others. Hacking no matter if it is just a game is wrong and should be dealt with. But will this happen? dont know. But if they are smart they would take charge and go to the root of the problem.

Valve released Half Lifes code as an open source thus it can be manipulated in any way length or form chosen. So throwing people in court wouldn't work besides, for the last time IT'S CHEATING, NOT HACKING. No matter how hard they try they couldn't prosecute a person for creating a cheat for a game. It's common for games to have cheats, and no one besides the gamers care about cheats.

I await flaming replys with "ur" instead of your and "u" instead of you.

Half-life 1.1.0.9 and CS 1.4 will be out next week. The updates will introduce Valve's new anti-cheat network. And some new maps de_chateau, and cs_havana. The anti-cheat network will stop cheaters until a new cheat program is made or the exsisting programs are updated.

on any good servers in cs, cheaters or hackers are banned once they are found to be using cheats, and 95 percent of the cs players hate cheaters

Just so you guys know..
Half-Life IS NOT OPEN SOURCE!
They're still making money from it..they wouldn't open-source the code..
they released the software developer kit(SDK) for mod-teams to use to help then alter it..but it isn't open source.

Hacking can be illegal...but hax0ring CS is a different type of hacking. All these 1337 hax0rs are doing is finding flaws in the code and exploiting them.....Case in Point: wall hacks..

It may break the End-User agreement..but it's really not illegal.
There really wouldn't be a case against these two-bit hax0rs...it wouldn't even be worth the court costs.

Just because Valve is releasing their own anti-cheating system doesn't mean that it'll catch everything. Somebody will work around it soon enough..

On all the good cs servers you will have CS Guard or/and Cheating Death on it (scans your hard drive) so no cheaters anymore . There are still a few more but the OGC (1337 cheat) team have released the code for ther cheat to Valve.

If u ask me, people who complain about cheaterz either cant play the game or are 8 years old.

uh they dont ban ips they ban won ids those r game ids. plus hey cs guard is taking care of alot of hackers and even then u got admins who can spot hackers

LOL i was joking about the court thing yes. i was just **** that this sever had a cheater. we all know he was a cheater cause he can take out everyone with headshots before you get to aim at him. all the admins had to say is. this is not a newb sever.




But hacking to me is using a program that does not come with the damn game that changes the game itself that makes it where it is the same game. aka not a mod. cheating is a code that is in the game itself.

like jedi knights 2 cheating is code you put in to get duel lightsabers. hacking is a program someone builds to change the way the game works itself without everyone get it
