Console help

well my console in half life and esf does work, but eveytime i press the ~ button, as soon as i press another button it closes the console and returns to the game, how can i type something in the console without it closing all the time..

Are you pressing it once, or holding it down? Press it once, should just bring up your console. Hold it down should make it appear and repair at a rapid rate.

It could be what FirePheonix is staying, but it could also be your Steam installation. Maybe try re-installing.

well i just tap it really fast (once) so if it shuts down then already, kinda weird, but thats not whats happening, i can when the console opens, type 1 letter and then the console closes, and then i need to restart the console and SOMETIMES i can type the rest of teh command, but most of the times it just deletes the last letter and closes again this way i can never type in the command

try changing the bind key of console in your config file
