i think haveing 32mb ram is part of the trouble, just try updateing your drivers, getting more ram and winxp would help too

This used to happen to me alot while running windows 98 without formatting the hard drive for along period of time but after I formatted it worked fine. Upgrading to windows xp too made my pc much much more stable.

Also I had a problem with my familys new pc crashing when going on games not long after I first built it. I eventually put it down to overheating, so going by this I moved it from this little place it was in and its been ok ever since. :)

That computer isnt that old, still should play half life with no problems.

If you find out who made your graphics card and the model number you can find all your drivers on the Internet. If any of your friends has windows xp you could borrow that, although you could buy it. I wouldnt dream of putting 98 or ME back on now!

I is here! :D

Well the problem i can see is that your pc only has 32mb of ram, 64mb I would say would be the minimum I would use WinME with. Also WinME has alot of bugs so WindowsUpdate is your friend. If you dont have your nVidia cd thats not a problem, go to http://www.nvidia.com and download the latest drivers. As long as your card is an nVidia card and also isnt older than a TNT. Hope this helps ya.

You really need more than 32MB ram. That can barely run the windows kernel your using. Forget XP, it practically (or does) require 64MB RAM.

Yeah for XP I wouldnt use anyless than 128Mb, but for ME 64mb would be the minimum, background aplications and the like do take up substantial aount of ram.
