I couldn't find any solutions on the Infinity Ward message boards, though it seems that a lot of people are having a tough time getting the game to run.
When the console pops up to show you the errors, are you able to move the console around? If so, can you move it so that you can see most of the console and take a screenshot of it? Better yet, see if you can copy the text in the console and paste it here.

My call would be to get core temp (run as admin), process explorer, cpuz, gpuz. Make sure the components match fine to the game's specs, make sure nothing else is over heating, look at memory usage, etc. Also, you running as the admin? I've found that some games don't like it when you're not running in admin mode. Fixed some of my TF2 problems that way.

Here's a long shot:
Are you running Xfire and ATi Tray tools? If you are, turn off Xfire in games and/or ati tools OSD (frame counter), the two WILL crash COD4, It took me many moons to figure that out.
