You seem to be late to the party.

Anywho, I don't support MW3, but I have to admit this trailer made me laugh.

Considering how absurd MW2 was and how seriously it took itself, I'm hoping they go balls to the wall crazy and just have fun with it in the third.

This was taken from another forum I found.
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

http://www.thetechgame.com/Forums/t=1287752/mw3-guns-leaks-leaked-campaign-plot-14-05-2011.html said:
There have been many speculations as to the Storyline aka Campaign,Multiplayer & a possible co-op mode that the next Modern Warfare title will have,so I will post all the reasonable ones here and if they are proved/confirmed true or fake,I will state so.

Leaked FULL Plot/Storyline

This is NOT confirmed to be real, and may not be either, but it also may be.

I have not read this,as I did not want to spoil the game for myself, and I am sure others will not read it to.

So I am asking ALL members to NOT discuss or comment about what is in the following spoiler.

Last warning,HUGE SPOILERS!

Modern Warfare 3 opens as Modern Warfare 2 closed: The United States under siege by Russian forces, ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov on the loose, Captain John "Soap" MacTavish and Captain John Price wounded and on the run with the Russian informant known as Nikolai.

Fleeing to a safehouse in Dharmasala, India, the three are attacked by Makarov's men. In this firefight players take on the role of Yuri, a loyalist who works for Nikolai. Their safehouse compromised, the group flee the area in a helicopter.

The game then cuts to Manhattan where Russia is launching an attack on the city from a fleet of ships parked in the Hudson River. (It appears the famous U.S.S. Intrepid may be destroyed.) The U.S. calls in Delta Force to repel the attack. You take on the role of Frost, a Delta Force operative under the command of Sandman. Your goal is to take out a jamming tower on top of the New York Stock Exchange to open the area for a U.S. counterattack.

Following the mission, Delta flies out of the city on a Blackhawk, gunning down enemy choppers as they make their way to the harbor where they have to infiltrate and take down a Russian sub which is coordinating the attack.

The Campaign Settings of MW3
Dharmasala, India
New York, New York
A plane transporting the president of Russia
A town in Sierra Leone
London, England
Mogadishu, Somalia
Hamburg, Germany
Paris, France
Prague, Czech Republic
A castle in the Czech mountains
Berlin, Germany
The Kremlin in Moscow, Russia
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Washington. D.C.
As the New York missions wrap up the game jumps forward in time half a year, thrusting players into the role of a Russian agent tasked with protecting the president of Russia as he flies to sign a peace treaty with the U.S. The plane is attacked by hijackers mid-air who attempt to kidnap the president and his daughter. The daughter manages to escape. The president of Russia in hand, Makarov vows to prevent a peace treaty by getting the launch codes out of the president and launching an attack against the U.S.

The game then returns us to Price, Soap and Yuri, now in Africa in a search for Makarov. They meet with a local South African arms dealer who tells them about a shipment of chemical weapons that Makarov is trying to buy. The group make their way to Sierra Leone to secure the weapons from African militia.

Full size
Next, players take on the role of an SAS operative who is tasked with stopping a delivery of weapons of mass destruction at a London dockyard. A gun battle ensues, and the agents are chased through the London subway. The mission culminates with a series of unmarked trucks exploding in front of the house of Parliament, releasing a deadly chemical agent.

Several other European cities and military bases are hit by similar terrorist attacks backed by Russia, and the death toll rises to the tens of thousands. The series of chemical attacks opens the door for a Russian military blitz strikes across the continent.

Price discovers that the South African arms dealer who tipped them off about the chemical weapons deceived them and travels to Somalia to find the man and interrogate him. Through the arms dealer, Price discovers that Makarov's right hand man, Volk, is hiding out in Paris.

The game's attention next shifts to Hamburg, Germany where players take on the role of a U.S. tank gunner fighting to push back a Russian advance backed by armored divisions.

As Hamburg falls, the game shifts us back to the story of Price and his crew. Now in Paris, players control Delta Force operative Frost who, with the help of the French special forces, leads an assault on Volk's location in the underground catacombs of the city. Next, players take to the sky supporting Frost's ground movements as a gunner in an AC-130.

After capturing and interrogating Volk, Frost learns that Makarov has a meeting in a Prague hotel. Players control Yuri as he and Soap slip into the Russian-controlled city and set-up an ambush for Makarov in a church bell tower. Makarov somehow catches wind of the trap and escapes. Soap, Yuri and Price then have to fight their way out of the city.

Yuri leads the team to one of Makarov's headquarters in the Czech mountains and the group infiltrates the location, looking for clues. They discover that the ultranationlist has the president and is trying to get the codes out of him. Makarov has also discovered the location of the Russian president's daughter. The group move out to Berlin to try and prevent her kidnapping. Playing as Frost, gamers must find the daughter and protect her, while making their way through war-torn Berlin. The daughter, however, is captured and flown away.

Frost next makes his way to the Kremlin where a task force of operatives attack and free the hostages, but Makarov manages to escape again.

The game's final mission occurs in Dubai, where Yuri, Price and Sandman launch an assault on a heavily guarded hotel, eventually finding Makarov and, yes, finally killing him.

It also appears that the game may also include a post-credits level that features the burning of Washington, D. C.

The stage seems set for a passing of the torch: from player-controlled members of Task Force 141 to the new characters from Delta Force.

We've contacted Activision for comment and will update the story when and if they provide reaction.

*Note, the audio in the video above comes from what we're told was something created for the game's presentation at the upcoming E3 show in L.A. next month.

Direct Continuation:

Gamers who have played the first two installments in the series would be begging for a direct continuation of the Storyline from where Modern Warfare 2 left off at it's extremely exciting ending, which finished off at a strong climate and leaving what happens next open to almost anything.

The Ghost Storyline:

The only other speculation that has come to light at the moment,is the game being a direct prequel to Modern Warfare, you know..that one from way back in 2007?

Yeah that one, appearently you will be following the story of "Ghost" who first made an appearance in Modern Warfare 2.

You will visit past memories from Modern warfare as you play through the campaign. Also, it may be nice to note, that Gaz from Modern Warfare & Ghost from Modern Warfare 2, are voiced by the same voice actor.

Although this won't mean they the same person,as Infinity Ward has confirmed it to be un-true quite a while back.

He also died during the final mission in the Modern Warfare storyline at the hands of the ultra-nationalist forces.

This whole possible storyline, is purely rumors, but comes from a good source.

Destructible Levels

Rumored information makes Modern Warfare 3 sound like the most epic Call of Duty yet.

Now that Modern Warfare 3 is almost assuredly going to be announced sometime around E3 2011 in early June, rumors are starting to come out about the game's content. According to "sources who have seen the game in action," Modern Warfare 3 will up the ante for the Call of Duty series.

The sources tell Kotaku that Modern Warfare 3 is indeed being developed by Infinity Ward, with assistance from Sledgehammer Games and possibly Raven Software, as previously rumored. It'll evidently continue the storyline laid out in Modern Warfare 2 instead of taking the prequel route, following a "world in crisis" after Russia's invasion of the U.S. in said previous title. However, the game's exact settings aren't yet known, though it will feature urban areas. The storyline could draw in other countries for the series' potential take on World War III.

This escalation in conflict will be mirrored by Modern Warfare 3's maps, said to be much larger and epic in scale than in previous titles. In addition, Modern Warfare 3 could feature destructible environments.

This would align the title with similar content found in EA's Battlefield series, which aims to blow fans out of the water with fall's Battlefield 3. Modern Warfare 3 is also expected in fall 2011, so this could be the best holiday season of all time for shooter fans.

As usual with posts marked "rumor," keep in mind that this is all unconfirmed speculation.

War returns to American & European Soil?

Manhattan to the catacombs of Paris, Modern Warfare 3's near-future campaign looks to be an experience that will top anything seen before in a Call of Duty game.

Campaign & Spec Ops Information:

The single-player campaign, which appears to wrap up most of the unanswered questions and character fates of the first two Modern Warfare titles, also introduces new characters who appear to be destined for future Modern Warfare games, especially two Delta Force operatives codenamed "Frost" and "Sandman".

Multiplayer in the game returns with a chunky list of playable maps as well as two types of Spec Ops modes: "Survival" and "Mission".
I would post the source on this, but it has campaign spoilers so I'll just leave it out.

Confirmed Information:

The next Call of Duty game WILL have a premium online feature.

To put it simply you will be given the choice to spent money to receive premium membership thus obtaining additional features.

Here is a quote from the news section,

Activision has revealed to investors that the new Call of Duty game will be fully revealed in a matter of weeks. Interestingly, the game is going to really ramp up its online play abilities, promising a range of dedicated online technologies as well as social networking features. These online features are being developed at Beachhead. Moreover, it was confirmed that the new Call of Duty will be the first to offer players extra online options at a premium. However, Kotick of Activision was quick to calm fears. He noted that players will not have to pay more for services that are typically free and that they are used to.
This may mean things such as,

Ability to buy CoD Points (if feature is continued (Guess)
Dedicated Servers (As it says "dedicated technology" in the article
Social Networking features (Confirmed in article)
Coloured GT/PSN name (Guess)

If you have anymore ideas, post them below & I will add ones which sound good and see if they come to be,or not.

But if dedicated server is a "premium" only feature,Activision would be very stupid since Battlefield 3 & Gears of War 3,Call of Duty's main competitors,WILL feature dedicated servers for ALL users..could this begin a decline in Call of Duty's popularity and ranking on Xbox Live or will it just heighten it's bottom line?

Either way,we can all expect Activision's reputation for caring more about making money than actually the happiness of their customers to skyrocket with the announcement of premium for a game that already costs 60 - 70 USD/Euro/GBP along with XBL expenses.

Modern Warfare 3 all but announced?

A lot of things have been pointing towards MW3 being the next in the line of the Call of Duty series, and this is just a huge encouragement to the belief that it isn't just in development, but in Beta too,on Partner net of course, which is only available to Development kits.

Beta Image:

A lot of people, including myself, believe the game will be officially announced at E3 2011 and we may be shown a short preview video of some gameplay to show off the game to the world.

E3 2011 is set for very early June and always packs a few secret surprises for the gaming world, for now we just have to wait and see what developments happen in the next month.

A few images of guns have been leaked, but they may possible be real or fake, but some of these guns would make an interesting list for gameplay and a nice selection to choose from. I'm only speculating what categories they would fit into,so nothing below is confirmed.

Perks:

Perk Set 1:

Covert

Feature I: The first feature to the Perk Covert stops the enemy from viewing their killcam when they are killed by you. The main feature also prevents deathmarks from being placed when you kill a member of the enemy team making it hard for hostile forces to pinpoint your location.

Feature II: The second feature to Covert allows you to remain hidden from enemy UAVs. In addition you will no longer render a red name or crosshair when an enemy is close to you.

Feature III: The final feature is as expected, you remain hidden from all enemy killstreak rewards making it easy to venture throughout the map without having any trouble from any killstreak reward owned by a hostile player with the exception of Counter UAVs.

Recon

Feature I: The main feature to the Perk Recon allows you to gain killstreak rewards with one less kill than normally required. This is the traditional feature to Hardline in the last two games.

Feature II: You can now switch your airdrops one time for a chance to get a better reward by double tapping the Square (ps3) or the X (xbox). In addition you can also capture enemy airdrops faster. And finally you can detect when a hostile has booby trapped an airdrop.

Feature III: The final feature is slightly more complicated. Lets say an enemy calls in an airstrike, well on your screen you will see a long red line showing exactly where the airstrike is going to hit, this is also shown on your minimap. The same goes for when an enemy calls in a helicopter, you will be able to see exactly where they called it in to. Overall this Perk is mainly for players who want to benefit with their team and on their own depending on which features they choose to act on.

Specialist

Feature I: The main feature to this Perk allows you to move faster similarly to Lightweight from previous games. Not much else to say about this.

Feature II: The second feature to Specialist allows you to run for a longer duration much like Marathon from previous games. Again, not much else to say on the second feature to Specialist.

Feature III: The third and final feature of Specialist allows you to walk crouched or prone faster.

Scavenger

Feature I: Pretty obviously the main feature to Scavenger allows you to resupply from dead enemies, from this you can resupply rounds and lethal grenades.

Feature II: The second feature to this Perk allows you to resupply tactical grenades and equipment from dead enemies.

Feature III: HAVENT DECIDED.

Perk Set 2:

Sleight of Hand

Feature I: The main feature to Sleight of Hand allows you to reload all weapons faster. Not much else to it.

Feature II: The second feature to Sleight of Hand gives you the ability to ADS faster.

Feature III: The final feature to Sleight of Hand allows you to switch weapons faster. Not much else to this Perk.

Reflexes

Feature I: The main feature of Reflexes allows you to use your knife a lot quicker.

Feature II: The second feature to Reflexes grants you less flinch when shot at.

Feature III: The final feature to Reflexes allows you to crouch/prone/stand up a lot quicker.

Sharpshooter

Feature I: The main feature of this Perk doesnt reduce your recoil but it makes it more controllable and more predictable. For example, it will recoil more in the middle and top rather than to the left and right every so often, this Perk doesnt decrease recoil, thats what Grip is for.

Feature II: The second feature to Sharpshooter increases your hip fire accuracy.

Feature III: The final feature to Sharpshooter reduces your idle sway, you can also hold your breath longer if you have a sniper rifle equipped.

Bling

Feature I: Allows you to equip three attachments to your primary weapon (default being 2).

Feature II: The second feature to Bling allows you to equip two attachments on your secondary (default being 1).

Feature III: The final feature to Bling allows you to equip two pieces of equipment.

NOTE: This Perk cannot be combined with a Grenade Launcher, and normally Grenade Launchers take up two attachments.

Weapon Master

Feature I: The first feature to Weapon Master replaces your secondary with another primary weapon.

Feature II: The second feature allows you to drop no weapon on death.

Feature III: The third and final feature allows you to equip a pistol of your choice along side.

Perk Set 3:

Bandoiler

Feature I: This Perk is pretty much the pro to Scavenger along with some extra helpful features. The main feature to this Perk allows you to spawn with full ammunition at the start of matches and every time you respawn. Very helpful when it comes to big games, combined with Scavenger this feature makes it dominant.

Feature II: The second feature to this Perk allows you to have up to two lethal grenade slots and three tactical grenade slots. You also spawn with the extra grenades.

Feature III: The third and final feature of this Perk allows you to hold three extra magazines onto your loadout. So if your gun usually holds 200 bullets and each mag was 30 bullets you would end up with 290 bullets, if you combine this with Scavenger it will be dominant over one man army and teamplay operations.

Tactician

Feature I: Allows you to take no falling damage.

Feature II: You can throw grenades quicker and farther.

Feature III: The final feature to Tactician allows you to reset the fuse on grenades when throwing them back.

Infiltrator

Feature I: Your footsteps are silent.

Feature II: Enemy equipment no longer affects you unless its a proximity explosive.

Feature III: Your knifing, defusing, reloading and etc is now silent.

Engineer

Feature I: You can see enemy equipment through walls.

Feature II: You can now booby trap enemy airdrops and you can hack enemy equipment.

Feature III: Finally, you can defuse the bomb quicker in bomb based game modes.

Navigator

Feature I: Enemies who have shown on the radar now last longer before fading, in addition it also shows the direction enemies are facing.

Feature II: You are no longer affected by Counter UAVs.

Feature III: Finally, enemies close to you will get their radar slowly jammed, the closer they get.

Spec Ops Modes:

Yes that's right, apparently Spec Ops will make a return in Modern Warfare 3,although this is not yet confirmed, nor is the actual game,I wouldn't be hard to believe that it would make a return to the game.

Here is a list of game modes, and levels within them that have been leaked.

Survival:

Carbon
Dome
Radar
Seatown

Information:

New Modern Warfare 3 details coming out of Game Hunters confirms plenty of new information regarding the spec-ops game mode that were highlighted in recent information leaks. Spec-ops, which first made its appearance in Modern Warfare 2 is returning. However, this time around, the mode has its own ranking, matchmaking, and leaderboard system in place to make it even better than before. Michael Condrey of Sledgehammer Games, said that the new online features will make for an easier entry into the multiplayer world of Modern Warfare 3. Even more interesting than the new features of Spec-Ops, is the Survival Mode. Survival Mode will use multiplayer maps and have gameplay that has been drawing comparisons to Gears of War 2's Horde Mode, Halo's Firefight. Through an in-game currency system, players will build defensive structures like turrets and barricades to fend off waves of enemies. As in the aforementioned titles, survival mode's difficulty will increase with each successful wave of defense. Infinity Ward is looking to make these new modes a much stronger part of the Call of Duty experience than they have been in the past, and with the new functionality behind the modes, they could do just that.

Missions:

Civilian Rescue
Flood the Market
Invisible Threat
Little Bro's
Out of Africa
No Fly Zone
Wing Man

Possible MW3 logo? To be honest..I hope not.

Possibly the cover art for the PC?

This could possibly be the logo for the "Premium Service".

In my honest opinion i can't see how people can get hyped for new call of duty games. It's basically the same game every new release with added/subtracted content creating numerous balancing issues in multiplayer and a single player story which in my opinion is the uwe boll level of video game storylines. Though i can't really fully judge the game until it's released, however the leaked info if true dissapoints me even more. Well i guess it'll be another console hit since it's the sequel of "the biggest game on the world" *sigh*

Also you can't really compare Battlefield and Call of Duty.. Call of duty is more of a UT type shooter with not much emphasis on teamwork with it's small, often linear maps while battlefield(judging by BF2 not bad company games since i've never played those) is more of a large scale warfare with more team work involved, at least from my experience.

Wait, why did i even come here?

I personally like the story of the Modern Warfare series. I just like the gameplay from Treyarch a bit more because they give it more of a balance.

I am dropping CoD for Battlefield 3 though.

Battlefield 3 is not being used on BF2's game engine...are you high? it's using a brand new engine DICE developed just for that game.... also just watch the gameplay for MW2, not to mention fourzerotwo said MW3 is using the same engine as MW2. Also LOL at the perks list and everything that was said to be in MW2....hahah..fourzerotwo also stated that MW3 won't have nukes.

Its the same engine used for Battlefield: Bad Company 1,2, and Vietnam, Need for Speed: The Run, Medal of Honor, and Battlefield 1943. Frostbite is it I think.

it's Frostbite 2, an entire brand new engine built from scratch. It has almost no relation to the normal frostbite engine used to make the bad company games, and frostbite wasn't used to make medal of honor OR battlefield 1943. There's no destruction in either game. Frostbite 2 isn't even a modified version of Frostbite, just watch the interviews...

^ This.

Also, care to give your sources about MW3 being on the same engine?
You seriously need to get up to date with that stuff. Only and Only Battlefield Bad Company series used the Frostbite 1 engine. The original BF2 didn't use it. For BF3 they completely rewrote the engine, thus Frostbite 2, which so far hasn't been used in any game. I don't know where you got that it will be running slower and ever look worse, but you need to check up on that, because if you mention that among some Anti-COD Pro-BF fanboys, they will flame you to a crisp.

And about MW3 engine, here's the source.

It has almost no relation to the normal frostbite engine used to make the bad company games, and frostbite wasn't used to make medal of honor OR battlefield 1943. There's no destruction in either game. Frostbite 2 isn't even a modified version of Frostbite, just watch the interviews...

I've played 1943..and as far as I saw there was no destruction like that link you posted claims..the MoH, guess it does, but a very limited version, hardly 1.5 if you ask me xD I never trust wikipedia though :\
