There was an RPG a while ago for PS2 called Capcom X Namco if any of you remembered it. Well this time America is getting it.
Project X Zone is a strategy RPG featuring characters from the 3 companies, and will be released for the Nintendo 3DS. Fighting game icons like Ryu, Ken, Demitri, Akira Yuki, Pai Chan, Jin Kazama, Ling Xiaoyu, Megaman X, Zero and Dante have been confirmed for the game! The main protagonists will team up in pairs for the fighting events (and likely story events as well). The characters/teams from each company confirmed so far, include:
CAPCOM: Ryu & Ken (Street Fighter), Dante & Demitri (DMC & Darkstalkers), Zero & X (Mega Man), Chris & Jill (Resident Evil)
SEGA: Pai & Akira (Virtua Fighter), Kurt & Riela (Valkyria Chronicles), Ulala & Touma (Space Channel 5 & Shining Force EXA), Shinguji Sakura & Ogami Ichiro (Sakura Wars)
NAMCO: Jin & Ling Xiaoyu (Tekken), Kos-Mos & T-elos (Xenosaga), Yurie & Estel (Tales of Vesperia), Kaito & Black Rose (.hack), Sanger Somvold (Super Robot Wars)
Also note that this isn't the final character list, and there will be other "hidden" characters in the game. Namco Bandai will be releasing the first trailer for Project X Zone later this month! Project X Zone is currently 50% complete and the game is set for a 2012 release.
