Can't join games, but I can create... HELP!

I can make my own game but cannot join other games. Before I wasn't able to create because there weren't any maps, but I just moved the maps to my HL folder instead of ESF map folder.

I really want to join a game, please help, BTW it says I haven't installed the custom game(ESF) when I already have it.

Try either installing the latest version of HL (1.1.1.0)

OR

add this shortcut

C:\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game esf

Also would suggest moving the map folder back if you wanna play with them

I had that problem, so I restarted my comp and it worked.

My friend had that problem too, so he reinstalled 1.2 and it worked. He didn't try restarting though.

So, my suggestion to you would be to (a) restart and try it, if that doesn't work (b) reinstall ESF 1.2, and if it still doesn't work then (c) try all the more complex stuff

It's a shortcut bug..
just make a new one and it will work.
well mean while u can just run Half-Life and get to 'Custom Game' And Active ESF 1.2
but u better make a new shortcut
