Can't find any server

I have installed ESF 1.2.3 in my laptop And I have Vista
Whenever I Start the game And try to connect any server I can't connect any server,and it says IFX is disabled.
What should I do now?
I am trying to play that game since a month but I haven't played it once.
If anyone have any solution then plzz Reply me.

I used google for this IFX, and what I could find is:

IFX INTERNAL modem/telephone/ISDN Settings

Using those for your internet? As I'm really not familiar with IFX.

Also, do you use Steam?

No I don't use steam
I don't know where to get it.

Whenever I try to Quick start game it says can't find any servers.
And when I click on create game there it says problem of IFX and then that game closes Automatically.I am eager to play this game but isn't there any hope for me?

You'll need to have Half Life installed through STEAM (a legal copy) to get ESF working fully. I'm afraid we don't offer help for any other way.
