Cant create servers

Hi

how come i cant create servers i played this game for 3 years now
(been retired to ) but before i could create them.
now i installed it again i could create server.

But then i had a critical error (dont say what it was) and now
if i want to create one it doesnt even load it

Plz help

now,
start esf
type 'log on' and 'sv_logfile 1' in console
create a server
post the logfile in this topic.

you should also try disable all amxx plugins (if running) and create the server.

Hmmmm,there could be lots of factors towards this problem. Ummm... Firewall,router....ooo and make sure when you start the game up to type this in your console

sv_lan 0

i asumed this was a crash problem.
But this could also be a 'Wav precaching problem' , a 'Cannot resolve to host' problem(NET_ERROR: NO HOST or something)
If it's an internet problem, first start in lan (yes sv_lan 1) so be sure you've checked the 'Lan game' box.
If this don't work, try shutting down your internet, and try it again with a internet game (uncheck the langame box) if the error remains the same you know it has something to do with: port forwarding, a firwall/antivirus program is blocking the program.

but again post your logfile.

ok i tried it and i became this:

LoadLibrary failed on c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\my_name\half-life\esf\addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll (126)
Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\my _name\half-life\esf\addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.

Looks like i tried to instal metamod but failed in to doing that (too bad :s)

Well,it means that theres something wrong within your Esf Directory.Try re-installing.

open 'liblist.gam' (in your esf directory) in notepad, and add '//' before this
line: gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"
so it would be something like this:
//gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"

this should disable metamod, now try again.
