cannot start !

When I fully installed ESF, and unpacked, I try to play (ofcourse)
But it says cannot find hl.exe What is wrong here :cry:

question (maybe a stupid ):
did u installed HL??? o_o
or did u installed it in the right folder?

Ofcourse I installed hl, thats a pretty dumb answer, but I think I installed it in the right folder. I installed it in the folder where hl.exe is located so it should work but it doesn't, so you're not realy helping me out but thx for trying !

you will have to have it in a folder too like

c:/halflife/esforces/

not just in half life dir

anouther thing is if u have renamed your hl.exe to something like "hl -console.exe" to run the console, esf may not be able to find it, in this case just make a copy of the exe, and name it to hl.exe i dont know if this will help, but thats a real why some ppl cannot use it.

if u have a ripped copy of half life theres not much anyone can do, so if u have one, go and buy it, and make sure you have the newest verson of hl too

I have a map where it is stored, so it's not in hl dir, and the file still is hl.exe, so that doesn't help me either :cry:

have you tried to start esf by using the custom game-option?

tryn makeing anouther hl.exe and renaming it too

hl -game -esforces.exe

if that dont work then i think u have it in the wrong dir most likely..
