Bug/error help please

Again im sorry if someone had send this already, i just don`t visit here much.

My friend have a problem with servers. He have right filter and right version of esf but when he press update it says "could not get list of servers" Now i am gaving him my whole esf folder because i think it will fix it if he replace his old esf folder with mine. Is there any easier way? And if that`s only way will he have his own cd-key or will it be replaced with mine? I think not but i just wanna know that all is safe. Please tell me if there is easier and faster way.

This can be closed now. My friend found the problem and it works now.

Just do what you said and replace your folder with his. Then if you dont want the same key do this.
1.Click Start
2.Click Run
3.type in run 'regedit'
4.find esf (hard but possible)
5.find file called, KEY
6.delete current key and put in your key.

There you go if it doesnt work refer back to this forum but im pretty sure it will.

In regedit, follow this:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
-> Software
-> Valve
-> Half-Life/Counter-Strike (which one u uses for ESF)
-> Settings

Then click on the right side on "key". There you can change your CD Key, just insert it without the "-".
