Yeah, some of those ol bots are great! The best are the total catastrophes.
One team made mauler, a huge spinning cylinder with chains that kicked complete and utter butt! They got taken down by a hazard, and so made Mauler # (I think it was 2140, or something). Anyway, first fight, it's spinning unbelievably fast, everyone's sure it'll win, it's a big favourite...
It went onto a roting piece of floor, while spinning, and flipped itself over, flew into the air, and crashed upside down (and this thing is FRIGGIN heavy!). The fan favourite spun itself to pieces without getting a blow in!
Some of the other really crummy ones are funny too. There's Chia Bot (sp?), a chia pet style robot with wheeling wedges (seriously doorwedge shaped things), Wacky Compass, which was just a bunch of really thin walking sticks attached to a circle: no attack or defence.
Oh, and some have human forms (fake heads etc.) and it's always fun when they get hammered. One fell flat onto its face on the hell raisers (rising wedges), and they just popped up & down, and the bot's face kept slamming into them. Their opponents got like 30 Hazard points!
