The heavy wooden door seems intimidating, yet you still find the strength to open them. There are no signs about save for a golden plaque that reads but two words. Eden Hall. The doors creak and you see the glow of warm lighting give everything a slightly amber hue. Weary from the problems in your life, you quietly make your way to the bar and sit down on the round stool. A young man looks at you with a humble smile and introduces himself as Ryu Sasakura. You make your introduction and order something stiff. He nods and complies. As the liquor loosens up your tongue, you find it easy to share everything about what's stressing you.

After you finish your drink, Ryu looks at you and smiles again. You see, he's also known as the Glass of the Gods. No matter what problems are ailing you, he's always got the perfect drink to serve. Could it be whiskey on the rocks? Could it be a margarita? How about Black Velvet? It all depends on you and what you're going through.

Alright, now that I'm done with the wall of text, here's the rundown. Basically Bartender is an anime about a cozy little bar named Eden Hall. It's ran by Ryu who has the uncanny nack of finding out just what is bothering his customers, and makes them the proper drink to make a person reflect on himself and realize just what he needs to do to solve his problems. It sounds kind of boring, but it's just an awesome feel good anime. Definitely a nice change of pace from "I MUST GET STRONGER BANKAI SSJ SAGE MODE SPIRAL POWER" stuff that I've been watching lately.

Give it a shot(pun intended). Guaranteed the first two episodes will have most people hooked.

It is definetly a good break from the "I MUST GET STRONGER BANKAI SSJ SAGE MODE SPIRAL POWER" that you mentioned. The music is a piano melody that is nice, slow and relaxing. And to top it all off, if you are an aspiring bartender, they show drink after drink after drink.

It really has a deeper meaning than just serving drinks to different customers. Each customer has a story, and a lesson that's suppose to be learned from that person. I also like the fact how very much of an adult cartoon it is. It took the serious things of the world and melted it away with a nice martini.

Wow, other people than me have seen this obscure show? Deman's got it pretty good, and it's a really exceptional show. Saw it...a year and a half ago or so. Not to mention everything they mention in terms of drinks is actually real and they provide recipes at the end. All about "The Face of the Bar" for me :)
