You think this one's good? AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ AM2
I like the specs.
It's cheap too. I hear it doesn't really support over clocking all that great, but I think that 3Ghz are enough for me. 'specially when it's Dual Core

I'd also like to know about this of my mobo: AM3 CPU Ready! (wtf is this?)
ASRock AM2 Boost: ASRock Patented Technology to boost memory performance up to 12.5% (this)

AM3 I think is just a newer socket. Allowing for usage of faster memory. But..when you are asking for "Is this good?", you might want to tell us what you are actually planning on doing with it. Gaming, Video-editing, Photoshopping, plain internet surfing?

The game will determine whether the CPU or GPU is more important. For example, Source engine is more CPU heavy, whereas Crysis is GPU heavy. The best bet is to pair a good GPU with a good CPU, while making sure that they're not going to bottleneck eachother (meaning that one piece is more outdated, therefore increasing the other in terms of speed/quality/etc won't lead to better ingame performance).
