As far as I knew, all wav frequencies had to be at 22050 Hz to work properly in ESF. However, Goku's trans2.wav is a unique one, having a frequency of 44100 Hz. Why is that?

Can someone tell me the proper frequencies wavs have to be in order for them to work in ESF?

If you use a certain looping technique and use the frequency 22050, the game will crash. If you use 11050, the game will not crash, but the quality will be severely lowered. So, when you use a frequency not supported, like 44100, hl will automatically create an error and make the audio file play at 22050. Doing this creates a backdoor for me, so i can use high quality sounds, without crashing. Until Valve fixes it that is, then everything will be converted to 22050.
