is there another way to play counterstrike and esf and halflife without steam or WON cus steam is being *** and not working worked for 5 days and gone it doesent work and i get an error report llike always so is there another way to play?

you have to use steam to play online - won went down but I believe you can still use it for LAN games.

I don't believe there is another way, sorry to hear you have issues with steam - have you searched their forums for further clues?
