I'm also looking for a new Gaming PC.

Just some opinion's please

I'm pretty set on the q6600.
I want quad and it's the best power:cost ratio

ATI is dirty so don't suggest it.

Also it needs a monitor. Was looking for a 22" but I wasn't sure if higher or lower contrast was better :p

Sorry for the pdf
Dev's PC

From Here

Skyrider is king

*Edit* Don't worry about pricing, I'll be buying elsewhere

Kid, you don't know what you're talking about
if you want price/performance go ATI. Period!

also, why quad core? :p

I'm a nvidia fan boy

Quad just seems more appealing. Unless Duel is bound to get me a better performance

I can always upgrade to quad when it's better and cheaper.

I'm probally more flexible then I think

well depends on what you want to do with your machine.
most games run better on dual core then quad core actually.

( because most games are still coded for one cpu )

Galaxy GeForce 9800GTX 512mB DDR3 PCI-E x16 video card, 2x DVI,
video out, PCI-E 2.0

NO, JUST NO! dayum!

which was reported today, it means
280 = 499
260 = 299

both blow the 9800 out of the water

Any Suggestions on which Duel?

*Edit* Also would it be worth getting an 850w PSU rather then the 650?

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8500 or E8400
should be around the same price.

about the PSU, nah you'd be fine with 500w easily.
if you keep it to one graphics card that is, which you will if you stick with Nvidia :)

funny though, nvidia fanboy buys a crossfire motherboard :p

lol couldn't find a SLI board I wanted

Was never planning on going SLI anyway, Not enough performance increase

Swapped for the E8400. The 8500 isn't worth the price diff

Totally not worth it, wasn't to serious anyway.

anyway, imo it's a good choice! 8400 is a nice cpu, good clockability also.
should last you a few years

The higher the contrast, the more black looks like black and white looks like white instead of a grayish tone. So basicaly, more contrast means better.

I myself have a G5. Absolutely love the mouse. The wire is also not a standard rubber cord like on most mouses, but more a rope-like wire, so it is much thinner and bendy-er. Do mind though that if you get the G5, you should get the revised version, the one with the blue snake skin. It has an updated laser, which is more precise and it has an extra button. The G7 does not have this. Plus, the G7 doesn't have the weigth cartridges like the G5 has and it's battery has to be recharged (even though you can switch the 2 batteries in less than a second.)

Unless you really want to have wireless, I'd go for a G5. It's superior in many ways. You hardly even notice the wire.

Doh forgot G7 was wireless which I don't want :p

So a 1000:1 is better then 700:1 and a 3000:1 kicks all ass?
I was under the impression it was the other way around?
