That really depends on where you're getting it from. I know for a fact that if you're getting absinthe in US then it is not the same absinthe of the Old World. It will either have no wormwood(the ingredient that makes you see the green fairy) or the wormwood is so diluted it doesn't matter.

For beer, I'm a fan of stouts. For the hard stuff I'm usually drinking on some rum(Kraken is good stuff) or vodka.

yea wormwood doesn't make you trip at all. I just get "upper drunk" on absinthe, either that or I was just being "upper drunk" everytime i've had it.
