Classified... don't act like the team has an obligation to release the mod at your command. It's their work, they can release it when they think it's ready, your negative posts are only going to get you in trouble, nothing else. The ESF team is providing the extra info to the community, why are you complaining? If it means nothing to you, then don't look at the previews, and don't listen to the interview. You couldn't sound anymore selfish, demanding the release, even though you have nothing to do with the production of it. Just chill out.

@martin - yes, it will be recorded, i saw it mentioned somewhere.

The ESF Team's lives are not soley based on this mod--though Im sure they spend quite a bit of time and effort pouring into the project, they are getting nothing in return, except for the satisfaction of doing something great, yet all you can do is whine and moan because 1.2 isn't out yet?

Like Hibiki said, "The teams got no obligation to do anything and u should be thankfull they even spend time out of their lives to work on a free game."

the preview on www.esf-world.com was sucks!

In my opinion they wanted to play already 1.2 beta so they asked to preview your New version of ESF. The Preview and the interview worth nothing if the mod esf 1.2 beta isn't out yet.

it's the only thing in the world that does so much to show their MOD but nothing to release it :\

Since Joe is on the interview, part of it might be about the creation process of ESF. If you're not interested in that, don't listen to it. Also, it would be the first preview from a non biassed source (no offence DJ), so you might hear some more critical sounds.

they gave ESF 1.2 beta to make a preview... but they released the manual first... it's like to tell us about a good tasty ice-cream and then to give someone else to tell how tasty it is... after they told us..

A manual tells you how to play a game. A preview gives a critical opinion about a game. Or, in your icecream analogy:
We, the ice cream makers put a piece of paper on our shop to tell people how to eat our icecreams. Then we give the ice cream to someone else and ask them to write their honest opinion about our icecreams, before we give it to the public.

Delays can be couse by two reasons:
1. You'r not doing anything and you hold the progress of the mod
or
2. You having truubble with some bugs

my guess is both reasons!
you got some bugs but u can't get a rid of them
so you are holding the progress
and mean while there is a stupid littel bug, you'er playing with yours esf 1.2

First, because we didn't set a release date, there isn't a delay. We were hoping to release a litle sooner though. Currently we're waiting for DT to finish up the last animations and for Joe and me to take out the last bugs. Part of the rest of the team (mainly the modellers, skinners and mappers) already started working on stuff for the next release.

As for your writing style, you might be taken a bit more seriously if you actually used interpunction and watched your spelling a lil. All my opinion ofcourse.

and why have an interview before the game is released? mate do you even have a brain stem? i challenge u to finding me a game which hasnt had an interview with a gaming magazine or anyone before the game was released.

and why doesnt the team give a release date? once again i find myself asking myself whether you have a brain stem. Ill say it again, the dev team is making this game out of their own free time, they dont go to an office and work 6 hours a day on developing a game every working day, you cannot predict how much free time you have which means its imposible to predict when the game will be released. Also if the dev team gives a release date and by the time the date comes and the game isnt ready yet they may be forced to release an unfinished game which would really blow, weve all seen what releasing an unfinished patch could do ( DMZ 1.7 ) due to disrespectfull noobs on the forums rushing the dev team.

the only thing in the world that does so much to show their mod but nothing to release it? answer me this, why would they release an unfished patch. its finished when its finished, its released when its finished.

we dont know anything about 1.2. HHmmm, you just made it obvious that you have read the 1.2 manual and yet you say that you know nothing about 1.2, open your eyes and take another look, the manual doesnt only say what the patch features but it also tells you how to play the game and yet u still say u know nothing about 1.2.

and can you answer me these plz.. What is it to if your not the first person after the dev team to play beta 1.2? What is it to you if you dont know the exact day of the release of a mod?
And what did u expect to do by posting this thread? hurt the dev teams reputation and respect? well lemme put it this way, any member from the dev team has more respect here in their pinkies than you will ever have and you have just proven that point by posting this thread.

I agree with CS , but i have an idea why he made this thread , normaly news comes at the end of the week and this time and also last week it took untill the haff of the other week , he was just expecting that since the news was late you would get a release , i would like it to come out , but as the rest of you i have patience and a life besides my pc ^^

hehe.. well.. doing nothing? Ive actually have about.. 9 characters to animate buddy.. each of them have about 80 extra animations to do.. so thats about 720 animations.. SO!
unless you wanna learn to be a good animator and yet.. animate faster than me..
just be quiet and learn something or two about making a huge friggen mod like this..
huge as in.. this whole mod is abotu 300+ megs...

Anyway, i do agree with Harsens - if you want to say something negative about a mod, you better do it in the right tones and with the propper language. That part wont be summed up simply by saing that its just your opinion, soz. I was surprised, course when i read ur post and scrolled down i expected to see 100 of "STFU" and "ITS DONE WHEN ITS DONE" posts, but instead i see some very patient and nice mods and members, who extremely politely tell you how things work, but instead of accepting it and say okay or perhaps sorry you simply keep on going... Like a ****in' 10 year old! (know that comment is cliche, but I just cant see any other reason why he should act like that ). Anyways, im looking very much forward to the interview, i hope we get in details how much is left and stuff like that, im curious

@ Darktooth: Is it 720 animations left? Or do you mean how many extra animations in all that 1.2 includes?

@ Mods: Its great to see that ur not getting extremely hostile to jerks like classified from the very beginning like so many other mods I think its nice to see that you guys try to explain things to him, just sad he doesnt listen. Anyway, keep up the good job !

Animations = Finished no more animations.. thank you god! now I finally have other stuff to do! yaay! like lift weights and become bigger than masta! woot! I hope you guys like all the animations that I made.. some have very unique attacks that I hope you guys like.. have a sharp eye or you wont see everything
