Hi,

I was wondering if 1 gb is anno 2013 enough for a tablet.
Theres gonna be a pretty cheap 10 inch laptop in a store in the netherlands and
i read good stuff about it.

It's just that i see that the higher end has 2 gb of memory so i'm not sure about it.
And if it isn't gonna last i prefer not buying one, even if it's cheap(er).

Specs:
Medion Lifetab E10316. Android 4.2. 10.1" multitouch with HD res. 1280x800. 1.6 GHz Quad Core. 16 GB memory & micro SD reader.

- 2 camera’s: 2.0 MP voor en achter
- 1 GB Ram
- USB host
- mini HDMI
- infrared Sensor

It goes for 179 euro's

I was thinking to use it for watching movies
and a little bit of gaming like the battlefield 4 app.

thx in advance

I suppose it depends on your needs. Personally I find 1GB ram not enough seeing that the android system already takes about more than half of the RAM that the system would have. Luckily of which can be controlled by RAM management applications and rooted apps.

Also, some negative review points of that tabled:
Low angle view
Poor camera quality
Comparatively hard
Good points:

Ordinary picture quality
Working at high speed
Good equipment
Long battery life
Headphones in the package
Overall it seems to be a nice tabled. Though I'd search for more reviews regarding the tabled, but I see it'll be released at Dec, 7.

It's a translation from german to English :p. As I mentioned, overall it's a nice tabled for that price. Even my Samsung Galaxy S3 has 1GB ram and it's taking up 600MB of 1GB atm and I barely have any apps launched except those who stick around in the background (whatsapp, keyboard, etc). If you can manage the apps, you should have plenty of RAM left to do other stuff.

The very best there is.

Classified.
The resolution's a big no-no. I own a GT-P5110 and it's simply terrible. Android's font rendering looks fine on a "Retina" display, but 150 PPI just don't cut it. Seriously. Windows and OS X are way more capable at these pixel densities.
