The difference between the two instances is that the British didn't start anything. They were terrorized without the British having done anything to the Israelis in the first place. It was all a part of the plan in which the Zionists would get their own nation. In the end, Britain just got so fed up with the attacks that they gave the Mandate to the UN. To be fair, VBSS requires you to be anywhere from inches to a few feet away from the "threat", so there were bound to be a ****load of close-range killings. Depending on the philosophy behind your training, you'll either double tap them in the chest, or perform a failure drill or simply go straight for the head. That said, in this type of situation, where you know it's just demonstrators and not terrorists or pirates, going for the head instead of incapacitating them (pelvis shots do this nicely) is iniquitous at the very least. I don't want to hear anything about the commandos being afraid and unsure, either. You know damn well what you're doing, when you do it, and they had plenty of time to establish ROEs.
