1.3 help

i have downloaded the ESF 1.3 open beta and it downloaded perfectly. when i opened it using half life it worked perfectly also. when i create a server and choose my character egboo or something, the character doesn't have a name. when i try to add a bot it gives me a error saying :" MESSAGE_END called, but message buffer from .dll had overflowed." and when I'm my character eg. Goku i cannot see my face or health or anything at the bottom left corner the whole thing is blocked with a weird greyish looking thing. my aiming is also the same. i can move around normally but cant see my power level or health and so on. please help me i really would like to play this game

if your using steam set the video to opengl and bots dont work yet they will in the final relese
