Earth’s Special Forces Open Beta Final (Unstable)
The Open Beta(Beta 1.3) is the last public release of ESF. This build is a snapshot of the inteam and contains many bugs and unfinished features.
and what is this in the esf page download?
It literally says what it is its not final its a very old public release, Crashes alot especially bot based.
As Dragonias said, it’s not ESF: Final, it’s instead the final version of the ESF 1.3 Open Beta, which is an abandoned version of the game that was very broken and unfinished. Admittedly the wording in the name could be better.
However, if you do want to install that version then you need to install Half Life 1 on steam, launch HL1 at least once and then close the game. The ESF installer will then auto-detect the correct folder to install to. Once the installer is completed you might need to restart steam for ESF Open Beta to appear in the steam list.
