eh lol about 60% of people plays esf on pirated half life and if the team dont finish esf final in about the end of 2012 i will set a bounty on em (no joking rly!)

That might be the case, but the Final makes sure you cannot play with the illegal version of Half-Life.
Not 1 person from the dev team ever used soon when asked about the release date you know. The only people using that word were fans. We always say its done when its done.
