aww oh noes. so heres the problem, my little bro (his a moron) happened to cheat with my hl1 acc.. and so now we got vac banned from everygame ;<

it happened DAMN long ago.. almoust like half o’ years ago and still the ban is there, we tought it would go away coz some neightbours and friends of ours had got bann’d even if they werent cheating, and the ban got removed after couble o’ dayes..

so is there any kinda of way to get the ban removed, coz now I can’t play cs 1.6 nor esf. So i would rly like to be able to play 1.3 when its released.

hopefully some1 knows some way to get rid of the bannage ;F

E-mail Steam. You should’ve done that from the start. Tell them that you weren’t the consumer playing the game, and that you had no control over it.

Otherwise, bad luck. Get a new Steam account is another idea, Half-Life only costs about $5 now…

As car as i know steams rules say. That the owner of the account is responsible for all actions with that account.

But i wish you luck.

Send them your proof of purchase and explain that you were NOT reponsible for the cheating. That’s what I did to get my account back.

If you get like “huge” vac ban, it lasts 3 years. :confused: Minimum is about 3 months o_O

Just pay for a new copy of hl. You can find it for like 10 dollars, maybe even five if you’re lucky.

Better yet, make your brother pay for it.

I left my steam account (w/HL1-CS1.6) on at a internet cafe’.
Next time I logged into my account, I was banned.
I just bought a new HL and made a new account.
I can still use my old HL1 account for mods though.

QFT, regardless of whether you share a PC or not, he should definately have his own account and CD-Keys.

Valve will ignore you, you have to buy the game again (or find someone who owns multiple copies and bum one off of them)

“Own” implies “purchased”. I know quite a few people with multiple accounts.

And quite a few people have gotten accounts off of me

Yes, that is exactly what I meant. A surprising number of people have multiple accounts (more than I would have ever guessed anyways).
