I was going to d/l from that thread but then I read in another thread not to d/l anything until the link is on the main page so I got pretty confused. Thx for telling me.

He went to the halflife shortcut on his start menu and made a new shortcut and renamed it to halflife-console. yet again it didn't work. He still can't open the console. Did he have to rename the original shortcut or are there any other ways to do this??

Ya, my friend just got halflife and d/l a bunch of other mods. He can't open he console ingame though. Anyone know why? i can't help him since it always worked for me but i played at his house and I can't open it so I got no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx
