Its give and take, there are some things gimp has "out of the box" photoshop doesn't while in photoshop you have the blending options menu when you right click a layer, which so far is what i notice gimp is missing which keeps it from being really great.
the one big thing missing is that...
Ok i faded the sides and the top a bit if that's what was meant by tone, and yea gimp has feather. version im using is right up there with ps7, however because the image was already flattened(never saved xcf<-psd equivalent) I just used the eraser.
Nothing new to you guys but what can i say, im a newbie. I heard of brushing long ago but paid no attention to it as i havent really touched a graphics prog in a while.
my first attempt using about 5 of the 40+ brushes i made the last few days.
Should i keep it up or should i let it go?
it put a smile on my face. never seen anything like that be4, i like it! the pic matches the background in facial expression. dunno if the reflection needs rippling, give it a shot and let us see.
what if u kept the theme but showed more of the at-at and made it less transparent, perhaps put the entire at-at in the sig while its walking either away or towards you at an angle. would prob be great. :]
