2012 US election thread - keep it civil

This is why the rich run for office, when they do it right, they make America job friendly by making it business friendly, when they do it wrong they use government to create business opportunity only for a select few, both Obama and Bush have plenty of examples of this, it is straight up...

Taxes are a funny thing, because they only really screw the middle class and lower upper class. For the upper class, money grows on trees, and for the lower class, one or two babies offsets your income tax. Middle class pays, lower class pays nothing but *****es that the guys at the top pay...

Again, most of the wealth you speak of has evaporated, it is no longer in existence, the wealth you seek comes from the Robber Barons of the early 20th century, the people who built and owned the railroad, electric companies . . . money built far from the echoes of slave labor. Its like someone...

    My last forum post here.

You were banned for not keeping it civil, I see you continue to not know your place and refuse to learn your lesson. Good riddance.

The middle class exists because the upper class makes it happen, reducing the top would cull the bottom of the top, the small business owners you claim need it, and cause the middle class to evaporate. I can agree on building up the lower class, they deserve all the same tools and opportunities...

So then by your reckoning, Martin Luther King, who called upon people to see each other based on content of their character, ignoring their race, would be racist? I believe that those who cling to that ripple from the past only serve to deepen the scar that exists, it serves no healing purpose...

That highlights the problems I have, we have no money to borrow anymore, we are at a fiscal cliff without jobs, and people playing tax money. Obama wants to merrily spend us right off that cliff by taxing people who make jobs, which makes them not offer them. He's toxic in this environment...

LOL on China. Roosevelt's New Deal simultaneously set us up with lots of jobs and massive debt, still that brand of "recovery" is better than what we got: 900 billion dollars worth of crap. If that 900 billion had been spent on internet infrastructure, or new infrastructure of any kind, I...

You need a giant global war and someone to borrow from again in order to make that work at all . . . and are you seriously suggesting that the way out of this mess is war profiteering?

While I don't doubt the political class in general understands what it means to be on meager incomes, don't delude yourself into thinking that Obama knows the value of a dollar either, he has enacted policy that crushes people like his own Grandfather, who owned a furniture store. Those are the...

Racially divisive politics to start, white supremacy keeping races in their role. Those who see through the prism of race are racists, whether or not they violently attack others for race or not. I would not stand for a racist in the white house. When a man looks at another man and sees the...

For someone "well educated" as yourself, surely you must know that when an Admin (read, the real political power on this board) says keep it civil, and you don't, it will result in some sort of punitive action? Since I was not included in your list of people that have a clue, I'll assume that...

Elder Scrolls V? **** that ****, this is even better. (Mass Effect 3)

Some of the OP gear can be had, just not the promotional weapons: It breaks down like this: Common: Starting guns everyone has . . . Predator Handgun (high ROF and Ammo but low damage), Katana Shotgun, Shuriken SMG, Mantis Rifle (3rd best single shot rifle in the game), and Avenger Assault...

Oh dear god no. Not everyone agrees with Cornel West as wise, let alone wisest. I don't appreciate his philosophies, and would never appreciate him in the captain's chair, but to be clear, he is welcome to try.

So when your bills are out of control under your roof you spend more money to get that deficit down? How does that work out for you? Numbers don't lie, spending ass tons of cash does not fix a cash shortage, and that's just my first problem on Obama's presidency.

I play ME3 MP on PC, its addictive, but it'd be daunting to jump in now, lots and lots and lots of gear you need to get through a random number generator store. Many promotional items were gained through special events, while they still hold these events you might miss out on some of those high...

While I generally agree with you on that one, I should point out that one of them has a track record of spending more money then every president ever. That certainly isn't helping the situation.

Just because it can't be fixed in four, or eight (and I actually agree here, key underpinned problems need many presidential cycles to fix), does not mean a fix should not be attempted at all. Obama has not tried to do anything but weaken the dollar by spending money he never had.
