laggeg in ESF

I got a 1.5MB Cable connection and I was hostin an ESF serv and every one was laggin to heck. WTF?

Im assuming it was because you werent running a dedicated server.......but i dont know if you did or not

But also the ESF team probaly received a lot of complaints about this and the answer was ( i think ) was "It's only a BETA and isnt perfect" in their own little way

Or somethign like that ;/

I was runnin a listen server.

......though im not 100% sure what a LISTEN server is.....
ill assume its kinda like a dedicated and ill have to go with the fact that its only a BETA and it'll be laggy as we should know

A listen serv is just a normal person hostin it straight from their comp.

Its prolly cause its takin up your computer space.The HL engine is 5 years old. As far as im concerned, the Team already pushed theirselves and the HL engine to the limit, and thats prolly causing the lag problem. Im sure in a very later patch theyll find ways to reduce lag.
