question...

i downloaded esf but it wont work... i get the client.dll error messange... i have the cs: retail version on half life.... i have version 1.0.0.5 (the newest one) and i just redownlaoded it and reinstalled it just in case... then i tried the fmod... still i get the client message... im redownloading esf but after that what else can i do?

well there are a couple of threads on this I think, try to make sure u extract it to the counter-strike folder and not use software mode or direct 3d cuz only open gl works

My friend, 1.0.0.5 is very old. The latest version of Half-Life is 1.1.1.0.

My friend, i believe he is refering to the latest CS version which is 1.0.0.5.

its not the cs part u need lilman u need half life (NOT CS) to be fully updated to 1.1.1.0
