Melee help

Hi guys i know its probally been posted somewhere but i cant find it, but heres the deal, i do the swoop, hold down right click, then get knocked hard away.... what decides who wins going head on melee and what am i doing wrong?

Your doing everything fine, in Beta 1.1 Melee is won by Ki and PL instead of the original Beta 1.0, where melee was won by ping.

SO basically, avoid head on swoops unless you're stronger, otherwise it's a waste of time and health.

Exactly, try and create different techniques such as teleport, but not too much because you'll drain you KI too fast.

Although, you can fake them out, by initiating a head on swoop then teleporting away at the last moment, then taking them out from behind... or something like that... I dunno, I don't play ESF anymore.
