Can some one make a linux install? It would just consist of tar'ing/zipping up the ESF directory and uploading it somewhere. If need be, I'll provide the webspace for it. Just do it for 1.2 and the 1.2.1 beta patch and I'd be most happy.

Thanks.

Why?

I mean if you want the linus version just download it from esf-world or something ;)

There is no linux install for 1.2 on there. Therefore, the linux patch for 1.2 > 1.2.1 is rather useless.

That's for a dedicated server. I want to play the game not run a server.

Then you have to run wine(x) or cedega if you want to play on a linux box. Regular half-life/steam is only for windows, not for linux :(

No, all I need is for some one to zip/tar up their directory. The installer freezes everytime at the first mp3 it unpacks. Is it overly difficult to make a "linux install" for the game? It's not hard to pack a directory and post it. There are MANY people that play lots of HL mods just fine on linux.
