i think i got a problem

ok i installed esf 1.22 and steam but i think i got a prob when i installed the 1.20 it installed the files into the steam (which the icon shows up so i can play in on steam) But when i tried to install the 1.22 full into the file were the 1.20 file were when i clicked it to install it then button would just stay unhigh lighted but when i went to my computer then to then to my c drive which is my hard drive then sierra then to half life so it did get installed but not to the same fill will i be able to play the update or did i mess up if some one knows what to do plz tell me what i need to do

first u need 1.2.1b and then u can patch to 1.2.2b or have u downloaded the full version of 1.2.2b?

i had the full vershion of 1.22

then u dont have half-life completly installed
