HL in windows XP

hi
i'm kind of an old esf player
but i've been away, i don't know i gues a year or so...
and today i decided to get back in the action u know
and i installed HL and them esf
but now that i try to run tha game it says that is not compatible with my system
windows XP

how can i fix that ?

you need to use steam these days, WON is dead (www.steampowered.com)

install half life
install steam
run half life once
install esf
play

thats it if im right >.<

can't i play with out steam?
i have all the updates on my computer

but a feew things happened
i installed the hl them the update
then i opened the game
and it was missing this file
gfx/shell/splash.bmp

them i installed esf
and the patch 1.2.3
and them when i opened it said that esf was out of date

i canceled that and when i tried to creat an game it said that it was missing
pallet.imp

and the hl closed

how can o fix ALL of this things?

Remove everything related to HL, ESF and Steam and start again, start with steam, install it, run it, let it update. Then sign in and install Half-Life. Run it once so it updates, then run it again and close it. Then install the v1.2.3 full installer. (http://esf-world.com/main.php?content=fileinfo&file_id=25320). Then run it.

sorry hnd won died a long time ago and now you cant play any half life mod game without having steam(ing pile of ****) on your computer but if you need any other help i can help you with it

darn....
the problem is that my cd key was copied...
and i won't run in steam cause somebody else signed in first
there isn't any other way to play?
teh cd key runs normal on the olders days

fraid not, you'll have to buy one if you want to play.

ahhh reminds me of the good day where 20000 stam accounts were banned :laff:
