Ok so ive been slowly but surely learning to model and ive come to a bit of a problem. ive been working on this model and i went to map out the head. this is what i have so far.

as you can see, there are these black shadows in the middle of the face. the shadows are there with or without a skin and i dont know how to get rid of them. I made the face by placing vertices and connecting them with the face tool. I unwraped the model by making a simple planar map. If it will help, I used MS3D to make the model and ultimate unwrapper3d to try and unwrap the model.

Is there something i missed or that i did wrong in making the model or unwrapping? thanks for the help!!

Could you post an flatshaded screen ? Because it looks like some faces are facing inside the head

Flip the faces, they are inverted.

should solve the problem.

(via milkshape: load model, select faces and hit: strg + shift+ f)
