The long-rumoured new instalment of Blizzard's massive StarCraft series is set to be unveiled later this month - and it's another massively-multiplayer online game in the style of World of Warcraft, CVG can reveal.

Sounds like it's official folks.

This is either really smart, or really dumb. They know they dominate the MMO market already, so they're really only competing with themselves for market-share.

If this topic is going to be left alive, then I'll throw in my two cents. I believe it's a moronic move. The fanbase wants an RTS, not another MMO. They're just going to be splintering their audience in the MMO market.

Ahh, from what I could discern from Smith's post was that a SC2 was announced, not that it was necessarily an MMO.
