Upgrade to Java 7. If you have Java 6 or both try to uninstall 6. It helped me performance wise. Look up Optifine for Minecraft too... that's what I was using for 1.7.3.

Sadly no 1.8 version yet. :I

That resonance cascade is pure awesome.

The latest version 1.8 kept running out of memory after 30 seconds.
I read it is a bug that can be resolved by upgrading to 64-bit java.
You can also reduce the viewable distance on the server properties file.

I still should find a good server for me to play on. Where for a starters 95% of the whole world isn't taken. Plus, I like group work. Where people are in clans / villages working together.

The game is based of JAVA though, which takes up a lot. Servers are most likely very high in price depending on the slots.

Yea... Certain places make it high priced but there are also places that price it cheap.

I think it was like... $8/month for a 4 man server.

I could actually get a Minecraft server with the people who host my TF2 server possibly. It would only require me to pay $12/m for 8 slots.
