I just got a new computer, and since I cant find another use for it (I can't be on to comps at once), I decided I would use it as a simple (and small) server for all my favorite things. I already setup port 27015 to be forwarded to 192.168.1.x; I then setup a new steam account with nothing registered to it. Now, I thought I could just run the installer for the dedicated server, configure the server file, and boot it up. But when I tried, it said it couldn't find steam. Can anyone give me a guide on how to setup a dedicated server!?!?! It shouldn't be this damn hard!
EDIT: I finally got it, just had to copy the install files to the half-life dedicated server directory.
