Converting Demos?

I was just wondering how did u guys convert the demos you guys made in game to .avi files? do i need a program or something?

For a video, yopu mena all the BMPs? Im almost sure you need a program to link them all together to make it an AVI.

No, to record a demo u just type record or demo or something in console but i was wondering if u can convert those demo files into avi somehow i dont know what u'r talking about though how do u makean avi from screenshots?

When you are making a video of half life it dosnt actually record a mpeg or a video format it actaully produces a series of screenshots with no sound and you ahev to complie them and make them into a video, with no sound. So basically making a video of half lie isint as easy as it sounds. Thats why when people ask for videos they get told "which would you rather have the team doing making videos or producing the beta" Making a video takes time! understand?

dont forget that u also must add in sound once u compile the video... also there might be but dont call me on this i think i remember seeing a program thing that u could install in hl and it records true video (with sound) files

i really have no idea but u could always try looking on fileplanet or planet halflife (whats up with all these planets anyway )

1.type startmovie in console
2.fps_max 25
3.when you are done, type stopmovie, if that doesnt work exit esf.
4.go into your half life folder, where u will find MANY bmps.
5.www.videomach.com use this to compile it.
6.when you are done, go back into esf and do fps_max 99
