I've been playing my XB360 hooked up to my L2335 (http://www.anandtech.com/displays/s...ve to copy+paste this link into the browser)), and it works in 1080i--but according to the OSD, it's only 1804 x 1015 resolution, rather than the 1920x1080 resolution I know 1080 should be. Anyone have any ideas?

Microsoft recently added 1080p support through an online update. I downloaded it. Also, I know that LCDs--specifically, PC LCDs inherently support progressive scan. While 480p works, and 720p works, and 1080i works--1080p does not. The L2335 is capable of it, but when I switch to this mode, I get a blank screen and it eventually switches back to 1080i.

Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah. It is broken. Whoops. I thought I put the note (copy and paste the link into your browser), but.. meh.

Yes, its native resolution is 1920x1200--which means it has more than enough to display 1080i/p's resolution, which is 1920x1080.

I'm using component cables.

I'm pretty sure your TV/monitor doesn't support 1080p through component, but don't abandon all hope. What you can do is pick up some VGA cables

And that should allow you to output 1080p to it. Just a little warning, I personally found the component cables look a lot better. Connected with the VGA cables it makes the image seem really dried out.

VGA output, at least with the XB360, maxes out at 720p. I've connected my XB360 to both my TV and monitor at 1080i--don't see why my monitor (which can do 720p, and is capable of higher resolutions than 1080p, and progressive scan) shouldn't be able to display it.

My native resolution--including for Windows--is 1920x1200, which is inherently progressive scan, is beyond the 1080p standard.
