Wont show on list

Ok I know I downloaded the right file. So I figure out I have to extract it to it self then put the folder into steam/steamapps/(my accname)/halflife. So I restart steam and look at the list and would you look at that, its not on the list. The only thing related to it is Earth's Special Forces and thats not it. Though it could be a problem of mine. Apparently i installed EvM wrong or something because i have to go on Earth's Special Forces. Then look at the servers and it says EVM or whatever. I even made a new folder in the halflife folder saying esf BETA then put esf_openbeta_2_04_07 folder in there. And still nothing on the list. So what the heck do i have to do, because even if i go on Earth's Special Forces and look for it on the server list like for evm but nope not there either. If you can help it would be a great help THANK you in advance
